Frequently asked questions
The short answers about using these icons.
Are the icons on Icon Pantry really free?
Yes. Every icon is free to download and use in personal and commercial projects. There is no account, no paywall and no attribution requirement.
Can I use these icons in client work and commercial products?
Yes. You can use them in websites, apps, software, client projects, marketing, print and video. You may not resell the icons on their own or republish them as an icon pack.
Do I need to credit or link back?
No attribution is required. A link back is appreciated but optional.
Which file formats are available?
SVG for any size and PNG from 16 to 1024 pixels. You can also copy each icon as inline SVG, a React component or an HTML img tag.
Can I change the color and stroke width?
Yes. Pick any color and a stroke width from 1 to 3 pixels before you download. SVGs downloaded with the default color use currentColor, so they inherit the text color in your code.
How do I use an icon in React?
Open an icon, choose the React tab and copy the component. It accepts a size prop and any SVG props, such as className or aria-label.
How do I use the icons in Figma, Sketch or Canva?
Download the SVG and drag it onto your canvas, or copy the SVG code and paste it straight into Figma. The strokes stay editable.
What style are the icons?
Outline (line) icons drawn on a 24 by 24 pixel grid with a 2px stroke, round caps and round joins, with 2px of padding. Every icon follows the same rules so they look consistent together.
How many icons are there?
There are 6,270 icons across 77 categories, and new ones are added regularly.
Is there an API or a full list of icons?
Yes. The full catalog is available as JSON at https://iconpantry.com/data/icons.json and as plain text for AI tools at https://iconpantry.com/llms-full.txt.
